4. Instant Pot French Garlic Chicken
Or, the recipe that Tina Gunner says would make flip-flops taste good! This is super popular and very easy to make. It has a lot of fans and there’s often a debate as to whether this one or the Butter chicken deserves #1 billing.
It’s got Herbes de Provence in it, but other than that, you probably have everything else you need to make it right in your pantry or fridge.

If you’re craving a rich, buttery Keto Shortbread recipe, you need to make this one! It’s full of all wonderful things you love about shortbread, but without all the carbs and sugars!

Why should I make these Keto Shortbread Cookies?
- Low Carb. Only 2 net carbs per serving.
- Gluten Free. This keto shortbread is made with almond flour so it is allergy friendly.
- Minimal Ingredients. Only 4 ingredients to have these tasty treats at your fingertips.
- Easy. Mix the ingredients, bake, cool, and eat.
This is actually an incredibly easy recipe with very few ingredients. You don’t need to be good at baking for these to turn out amazing. They’re made in a baking pan, so you don’t even need to use a cookie cutter!
When you decide to go keto or low carb or even gluten-free , one of the things that seems to be the hardest to give up is sweets and desserts .
You will only need four ingredients to make these, and I love the way they turn out. They’re buttery and delicious, just like a good shortbread recipe should be. That’s why you should make them.
Can I Use Almond Flour On Keto?
If you’re familiar with a low carb lifestyle and keto ingredients, you’re probably aware that all-purpose flour isn’t keto friendly.
The great news is that many of your favorite desserts can be keto-fied by using almond flour. With 2.5 net carbs per serving , almond flour is a great solution if you’re eating a keto diet.
Can You Swap Almond Flour And Coconut Flour For Each Other?
One thing I get asked often when I post low-carb baking recipes like these is if coconut flour can be subbed for the almond flour. The short answer is that it can’t.
Almond flour and coconut flour are two completely different substances and react to ingredients and baking times completely differently. Substituting one for the other would likely end in a baking disaster.
Coconut flour absorbs water like no body’s business, so you can’t just swap those two. You pretty much have to develop a new recipe if you want to use coconut flour.
What Sugar Is Best For Shortbread?
There are tons of opinions about what kind of sugar is best for shortbread, brown sugar or caster sugar. My opinion? Neither.
Both of these options leave you with a shortbread recipe that is incredibly high in carbs that I can’t eat. So, for this Keto Shortbread recipe , I chose to use Truvia .
What Ingredients Will I Need For This Gluten Free Shortbread?
For this recipe you will need:
- Butter
- Truvia
- Almond Extract
- Almond Flour
In low carb baking I know there are a lot of recipes you will find that have a ton of ingredients, and half of those ingredients won’t be in your cabinets. I hate recipes like that. I just want to cook, not have to buy out a whole store before I can eat.
If you’re new to low-carb eating you may not have almond flour or a sugar substitute yet, but they’re good to have on hand. I create a lot of recipes with those ingredients, so they won’t sit around in your pantry once you get them.
Does Shortbread Contain Gluten?
Traditional shortbread recipes will contain gluten because of the type of flour they use. That’s why Keto shortbread makes the perfect Gluten Free shortbread .
By using almond flour instead of all purpose flour, you’re creating a perfectly gluten-free and low carb shortbread that everyone will love.
How Do You Make Keto Shortbread?
