It is still a little high carb but better than the arroz piña colada calling my name. Lower carb beats high carb any day! It’s quite yummy and it only took about half of a cup to satisfy my craving.
Is This Mango Ice Cream Healthy?
Since I chose to make this recipe lower carb, I really would consider it healthy. Here’s why:
- Mango - Low in calories but high in fiber. Also a great source of vitamins A and C.
- Greek Yogurt - High in protein and an excellent source of calcium.
- Agave Nectar - A healthy alternative to sugar with a low GI (less likely to increase your blood sugar levels).
What Are The Best Kinds Of Frozen Yogurt?
Who am I to tell you what the best flavor of frozen yogurt is? One of the joys of food is that you get to enjoy it all!
While there is no correct answer to the question, these are some of my favorite frozen yogurt flavors:
- Mango
- Blackberry
- Blueberry
- Strawberry
Fruits can be high in carbs, so make sure to use just enough to flavor your frozen yogurt, and always use keto-friendly fruits if you’re eating low carb.
How Long Does Mango Ice Cream Last?
This mango frozen yogurt isn’t filled with all of the preservatives that some of your favorite store-bought brands are. So, don’t expect to toss any leftovers in the freezer and forget about them for months before digging in again.
For the best results and optimal creaminess, try to enjoy this within two weeks of making it.

So I made this Mexican Hot Chocolate Mix with Truvia since I try to avoid sugar, but you can make it with whatever sweetener you choose. I added corn starch to it so that the drink would have a little body to it rather than be thin and watery. What this means is that you can’t just add hot water to it directly from a kettle or boiling water tap, you need to cook it for a tiny bit. Trust me, it’s worth the extra 30 seconds. It makes a good, thick, deep chocolatey drink that my family is loving. I might try to add a little protein powder in mine later today and see how it works.

Mexican Hot Chocolate Mix
Add cinnamon or chile powder to suit your tastes. In this Mexican Hot Chocolate Mix recipe I can taste the cinnamon, but not the chile as much. I may need to add some more for myself, but I left it as it was for my son who doesn’t tolerate a lot of spice.
