Keto Alfredo Sauce is creamy, flavorful, and the perfect addition to any low carb Italian dish. With just a handful of ingredients you can make a cream sauce that is every bit as delicious as its traditional counterpart.

Why You’ll Love This Cream Sauce
- Fast. A rich cream sauce made in under 30 minutes .
- Easy. Bring a handful of ingredients to a simmer and serve. It doesn’t get much more simple than this pour and cook recipe .
- Low Carb . Only net carbs per serving.
- Versatile. Spice it up in a variety of ways or serve with countless main courses or side dishes for a tasty bite.
Are There A Lot Of Carbs In Alfredo Sauce?
Traditional Alfredo sauce is generally still considered low carb, but is not keto-friendly, as it uses flour to thicken the sauce.
With this Keto Alfredo sauce, cream cheese and parmesan cheese are used to thicken the cream sauce to perfectly coat anything you choose to serve it with.
What Can I Use Instead Of Cream In Alfredo Sauce?
If you are out of cream and are trying to avoid a last-minute trip to the grocery store, you do have some options. The most readily available in most kitchens are milk and almond milk.
Neither one of the options are the lowest in carbs, so make sure you adjust the nutritional information when you are calculating your daily macros.
Ingredients You’ll Need
- Butter - I prefer unsalted butter, as the parmesan cheese can be quite salty.
- Cream Cheese - Is the primary thickener for this alfredo sauce. It adds a little extra zing to the flavor as well.
- Heavy Cream - Makes the cream sauce extra creamy and perfectly pourable.
- Parmesan Cheese - Provides a saltiness to the keto alfredo sauce and helps to thicken it.
- Salt - Just a touch to taste.
- Pepper - Brings out the natural flavors of the parmesan cheese and nutmeg.
- Garlic - Diced finely so it doesn’t overpower each bite.
- Nutmeg - Gives a warm, nutty flavor to your homemade alfredo sauce.
How To Make Keto Alfredo Sauce
All you need is a skillet, a burner, and a few minutes to make an absolutely delectable keto alfredo sauce. Just follow the instructions below for a fail-proof cream sauce every time:
- Place a skillet on your stove top and turn your burner on to medium low heat. Add the butter and allow it to melt. Pour in minced garlic and allow it to cook for approximately 1 minute.
- Once the butter has melted, add the heavy cream and turn the temperature down to low. Do not allow the cream to boil This can cause it to separate.
- Once the heavy cream and butter mixture is hot (but not boiling), cube the cream cheese and add it to the skillet. Whisk repeatedly until the cream cheese is incorporated into the heavy cream.
- Add salt, pepper, and nutmeg and stir well.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and add parmesan cheese. The residual heat from the sauce base will help the parmesan melt. Stir until well incorporated and serve.

Variations
- Omit the cream cheese. The cream cheese in this recipe is used to further thicken the cream sauce. If you’re not a fan of the flavor of cream cheese or are trying to reduce the calories per serving, it can be omitted. The addition of heavy cream and parmesan cheese does thicken the sauce so it is not watery, but it may not coat the back of a spoon the same as it would with the cream cheese included.
- Spice it up. If you like things spicy, turn this into a Cajun Alfredo sauce. Sprinkle in a tablespoon or two of Cajun Spice Mix to jazz up the flavor of your next Alfredo dish.
- Double the recipe. I’m not joking when I say this recipe is absolutely addictive. It can be used in a variety of dishes as a flavor booster or served alongside some of your favorite meals as a way to increase your daily fat macros to keep hunger at bay.
Serving Suggestions
- Serve over veggies. Steam some zucchini noodles, cauliflower, broccoli, or even spaghetti squash , and drizzle a little bit of this keto alfredo sauce over the top.
- Use as a dipping sauce. Use keto bread , keto chicken tenders , or even cauliflower breadsticks to dip in this low carb alfredo sauce.
- Make a creamy casserole. Use this cream sauce as a low carb substitute for the bechamel sauce. Pour it into a variety of casseroles such as Keto Broccoli Chicken Casserole or Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole to make them extra creamy.
How Long Does It Last?
Whether you happen to have leftovers or simply decided to double the recipe to enjoy with another meal, you can expect a bite that is just as tasty the second time.
For the best results, store the keto alfredo sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days.

Can You Cook Tenderloins In The Air Fryer?
Not only can you cook tenderloins in the air fryer, but you should! It’s incredibly fast, makes for easy cleanup, and you don’t have to worry about preheating an oven or cooking in the elements.
Many people avoid cooking white meat in the air fryer because they’re afraid it will dry them out. But, have no fear! If you take the time to marinate your chicken breast or tenderloins before you cook them in the air fryer, they will be just as juicy as if you were to grill or bake them.
Can You Put Raw Chicken In The Air Fryer?
I can assure you that if you cook your chicken to an internal temperature of 165F and wash your air fryer basket quickly after using it, cooking raw chicken inside of your air fryer will not pose any kind of health concern.
Want to make cleanup even easier? You can make air fried chicken tenderloins in any heat-safe dish that easily fits inside your air fryer basket. Just toss the dish in the dishwasher when you’re finished and you’re done!
Ingredients You’ll Need
- Chicken Tenderloins - A thin cut of meat that cooks quickly and evenly in the air fryer.
- Greek Yogurt - The base of your marinade that will keep the chicken tenderloins juicy.
- Minced Garlic
- Kosher Salt
- Garam Masala - A decadent blend of Indian spices that is perfectly balanced and delicious. Use my recipe to make your own homemade garam masala for an even more decadent flavor.
How To Make Air Fried Chicken Tenderloins
- In a large bowl, prepare the marinade with greek yogurt, minced garlic, salt, and garam masala. Mix well.
- Place the chicken tenderloins and marinade in a large ziptop bag and close. Allow the chicken to rest inside of the marinade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to 24 hours.
- Air fry the marinated chicken tenderloins at 350F for 12 minutes (flipping halfway through) or until the internal temperature reaches 165F.
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer basket and serve.

Variations
- Switch up the spices. I absolutely adore how the spices in the recipe complement the chicken, but if you’re wanting to cook air fryer chicken tenders for meal prep and season them to be more versatile, feel free to season them with a simple blend of salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Skip the skewers. The skewers are completely optional in this dish, but they add a little extra pizzazz if you’re preparing them for guests or finicky children that like to make food more fun.
- Wrap it up. For a more filling experience, turn these chicken skewers into a delicious wrap by wrapping them in naan and drizzling a little tzatziki over the top.
What To Serve With Them
The variety of dishes to serve with this air fried chicken tenderloin recipe is nearly limitless. Here are some of my favorite sauces and side dishes to serve with them:
- Tzatziki Sauce
- Mint Chutney
- Raita
- Naan
- Indian Pilau
- Aloo Gobi
How Long Do They Last?
These air fried chicken tenderloins should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. For food safety reasons, you should enjoy any leftovers within 3-4 days of preparing them.
Cooking chicken tenderloins in the air fryer is an extremely quick process, which makes them the perfect option for a busy weeknight dinner. You only need 12 minutes to make perfectly cooked chicken tenderloins.
You may think that cooking chicken tenders in the air fryer would be difficult. This couldn’t be any further from the truth. Not only is it extremely simple, but it is also virtually hands-off as well. All you need to do is preheat your air fryer to 350F, place your chicken tenderloins in the air fryer basket, and cook for 12 minutes. The only extra steps you’ll need to take are to flip them halfway through the cooking cycle and use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature is at least 165F before serving.
If you’re familiar with air fryers and have done any research on their different cooking styles and settings, you’ll know that some come with a ton of bells and whistles, while others have just a few buttons. Honestly, they will all get the job done if you know how to use them. If your air fryer has a chicken preset, I would suggest not using it for chicken tenderloins. Many will suggest a higher cooking temperature (usually around 375F) and a longer cooking time (25-30 minutes) than I suggest for this recipe. This is because they anticipate a thicker cut of meat. For the best results, just set the manual time and temperature on your air fryer for 350F and 12 minutes. This will prevent your chicken from overcooking and becoming dry.
