Which Dipping Sauce Is Best?
The best dipping sauce for air fryer ravioli is completely up to personal preference.
I personally prefer a hearty marinara sauce. I have an amazing keto pizza sauce recipe that pairs with these beautifully.
However, marinara isn’t the only thing that goes well with these toasted ravioli. They are also tasty dipped in alfredo sauce, pesto, and even melted butter with fresh basil and oregano.
How To Make Frozen Ravioli In Your Air Fryer
Unfortunately, using the egg and panko coating on frozen ravioli doesn’t work, so to use frozen ravioli, you have two different options:
- Let your frozen ravioli defrost for around 45 minutes or just toss them in a pan of boiling hot water to cook until soft. Then cook as directed above.
- Use pre battered ravioli and cook them in the air fryer.
To Make Pre Battered Frozen Ravioli
- Place the ravioli in a single layer in the air fryer basket
- Cook at 375F for 15 minutes
- Flip your ravioli and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce
Tips And Tricks
- Use refrigerated, not frozen. I prefer the texture of pasta that hasn’t been frozen and they are much quicker to prepare.
- Get creative. Feel free to use Italian seasoned bread crumbs or even crushed pork rinds to bread the ravioli.
- Make ahead. Make extras so you can reheat them in the air fryer quickly for a quick snack or for unexpected guests.
- Try a variety. There are tons of different flavors of ravioli, from cheese to pork, to beef – there are even vegetarian versions. Try them all to find your favorite flavor combinations.
What To Serve With Air Fryer Ravioli
The beauty of this Air Fryer Ravioli recipe is that it’s amazing alone! It makes a great appetizer or snack.
If you want to turn this recipe into a main course, here are a few things that taste great with these toasted ravioli:
- Keto Marinara Sauce
- Cilantro Pesto
- Cauliflower Breadsticks
- Italian Sausage Soup
- Italian Stuffed Steak Rolls
How Long Do They Last?
Air Fryer Ravioli are best eaten right when they are cooked for the optimal cripsy texture. However, if you have some leftover, you can always store them and reheat them later!
Store them in an airtight container in your refrigerator and when you’re ready to eat them again, pop them in the air fryer for 3-5 minutes at 400F for a quick snack.

Make Sure You Have These Ingredients On Hand
Using ingredients you likely already have in your kitchen, here’s what you need to make these air fryer churros:
- Unsalted Butter
- Granulated Sugar
- Salt
- All-Purpose Flour
- Vanilla
- Eggs
- Cinnamon
- Nonstick cooking spray or an oil sprayer with cooking oil of your choice
How To Make Air Fryer Churros
Making these churros in the air fryer is incredibly simple! Follow the instructions below for a super easy dessert you’ll want to make again and again.
How To Make Churro Batter
- Melt butter in the saucepan
- Mix in water, granulated sugar, and salt
- Once the butter, sugar, and salt are fully incorporated mix in flour and remove from heat
- Let the mixture rest for 5-10 minutes or until it is room temperature
- Add vanilla and eggs to the flour, butter, salt, and sugar mixture
- Mix with your hands until it is smooth
How To Pipe The Churros
- Carefully cut a hole in the tip of the piping bag just large enough for the piping tip to stick through, without being able to push the entire tip through the end.
- Use a silicone spatula to place the churro batter into the piping bag.
- Place parchment paper the same size as your air fryer basket on a baking sheet.
- Carefully pipe 3-4 inch churros onto the parchment paper.
- Let the piped churros chill in the refrigerator for 45 minutes to an hour (check out the trick for faster chilling below).
How To Air Fry The Churro Batter
Once your churro batter has chilled completely, this is how you will air fry your churros:
- Carefully lift and place the parchment paper with the batter inside your air fryer basket.
- Lightly spray the churros with oil
- Air Fry at 375F for 4-5 minutes
- Halfway through the cooking cycle, flip the churros over, spray the other side with cooking oil and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes
- When the air fryer churros are done cooking, spray them again with oil and toss in the cinnamon-sugar blend.
Tips And Tricks
- Let the batter cool. It will be extremely easy to want to cook these churros as soon as the batter is made, but the will be far too hard to maneuver if the batter doesn’t have time to chill.
- Use the fridge or freezer. If you’re not in a hurry, you can refrigerate the batter for 45 minutes to an hour for the perfect consistency. However, if you’re impatient (or just efficient) like me, you can also chill the churro batter in the freezer for about 15 minutes instead.
- Add more flavor. If you love your churros to be heavily seasoned with sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle a little bit of your cinnamon sugar blend on the piped churro batter before you air fry it.
- Turn it into a funnel cake. If you’re worried about your piping skills, don’t fret over making perfectly shaped churros. Using exaggerated figure-eight motions, create a funnel cake shape of churro batter on a piece of parchment paper. Just make sure it will fit into your air fryer basket.
Why Are My Churros Not Crispy?
As much as I wish it wasn’t the case, not all air fryers are created equal.
If your air fryer churros are still doughy on the inside after the cooking time is finished or if the outside shell of your churros seems overcooked, you may need to make slight adjustments to your time or temperature.
Let me walk you through it:
If Your Churros Are Doughy
If your churros are golden brown on the outside and still doughy on the inside, chances are they just need another minute or two in the air fryer. Leave the temperature the same and increase the time.
If The Outside Is Overcooked
If your air fryer churros seem to be overcooked and the inside is cooked through, the issue is likely the temperature of your air fryer. Decrease the temperature by 10F-15F and keep the cooking time the same.
How Long Do They Last?
Unfortunately, this churro recipe is not a make-ahead snack or dessert. While they still have an amazing cinnamon sugar flavor, the best part of making churros at home is the warm center with the crispy shell.
The longer they are allowed to cool, the less crispy the exterior will become and the less decadent they taste.
What To Serve With These Easy Churros
These air fryer churros are amazingly delicious without any additional help, but sometimes you just have to take your dessert to the next level.
Here are some amazing options for churro dipping:
