Few things say summer like fresh cantaloupe, but with the hot summer we’re having I need something a bit cooler, like these Cantaloupe Ice Pops! They give you all the fresh cantaloupe flavor in the form of a delicious ice pop that’ll help you beat the heat.

Cantaloupe Ice Pops | Keto Popsicles
Don’t be fooled by how sweet these Cantaloupe Ice Pops are. They’re low carb, so they’re guilt-free if you’re living a keto lifestyle. People typically associate sweets with carbs, but that doesn’t have to be the case. All you have to do is substitute the high carb ingredients with something low carb, and voila, you have a low carb treat every bit as good as the original!
But I did one more thing, which is to reduce the overall cantaloupe in this recipe. It’s unlikely that you can eat a cup or two of cantaloupe and still stay in ketosis–and if you are one of the lucky ones that can, don’t tell me because I don’t want to be jealous of you!
What Makes TheseKetoPopsicles So Great?
- Low Carb . Only 4 net carbs per serving.
- Easy. A simple mix, pour and freeze recipe.
- Cooling. The perfect thing to cool down with.
- Sweet. The natural sweetness from the fruit makes this the perfect sweet treat.
- Delicious. Who doesn’t love a great low carb popsicle or ice cream treat? These are some of the best keto popsicles I’ve ever tried.
Can You Eat Popsicles On A Keto Diet?
Absolutely. However, there are a couple of things you’ll want to keep an eye out for:
- Sugar-free. Many of the popsicles you buy at the store are filled with sugar. Try to avoid those.
- Low Carb. Read the nutrition label. Not all popsicles are created equal for a keto diet.
- Natural Ingredients. The more unnatural ingredients you eat, the more likely your body is going to be kicked out of ketosis.
- Moderation. Like with most foods, moderation is key. While a lot of your favorite foods can be Keto in moderation, eating too much of a good thing will likely stall your weight loss progress.
Are Popsicles Better Than Ice Cream?
When it comes to calories and carbs, popsicles are certainly better for you. However, it depends on the ingredients. In most cases, keto popsicles have a lower sugar content per serving than low carb ice cream . And less sugar typically means fewer carbs, which is great for those of us living a keto lifestyle.
This keto popsicle recipe , however, uses Truvia , a low carb sugar substitute. That, along with the lower concentration of cantaloupe per ice pop, makes these a delicious treat you can enjoy without worrying about ruining your figure.
Now, if you happen to be more of an ice cream person, check out my Keto Ice Cream Recipe ! I’ve tried a lot of low carb ice creams, but none were this creamy, this smooth, and this delicious.
