Make a delicious Philly Cheesesteak easily and quickly with the help of your air fryer! Once you’ve made it in the air fryer, you won’t want to make it any other way.

Why You Should Make This Philly Cheesesteak Recipe
- Fast. Ready in under 30 minutes .
- Easy. Make it all with the help of your air fryer .
- Delicious. The flavor of the steak paired with the onions and peppers is simply amazing.
- High Protein. A whopping 47 grams of protein per serving.
Meat, veggies, bread, and cheese all cooked in your air fryer? Yes, please. This dish is simple but, very filling. Besides, anything that has bread and cheese in it is a win as far as I’m concerned. Philly Cheesesteak has never been better than when I cooked it in the air fryer.
What I’m saying is that, if you already loved this meal before, you’ll love it even more once you try it my way.
Philly Cheesesteak is super easy to make in the air fryer which only makes me love it even.
When you cook this recipe without the air fryer, there are a lot more steps before you have the finished dish.
However, with the air fryer, you take out all those extra cooking steps but end up with an even better outcome–funny how that works.
Are Philly Cheesesteaks Keto?
All you have to do is eat these without the sub rolls, and hey presto! Keto Dinner from your air fryer! The meat, veggies, and cheese are so flavorful that I actually prefer them without the bread.
You can always wrap them in lettuce but you don’t need to do any of that.
Simply chow down on the keto deliciousness of the filling, and enjoy your meal.
What Kind Of Meat Is Used For Philly Cheesesteak?
When making a traditional Philly Cheesesteak , you would want to use thinly sliced ribeye. That’s what I used in this recipe. But depending on what your budget is, you may opt for a cheaper cut of meat, such as flank steak or skirt steak.
Just remember that each cut of meat will have a different flavor profile depending on where it is cut from.
Can You Make A Chicken Philly Cheesesteak?
You sure can! While it might not be traditional, it sure is tasty. Cook the chicken for 10 minutes, plus an additional 5-8 minutes after flipping at 375F, and allow to rest. Thinly slice for a tender Chicken Philly Cheesesteak bite.
How To Make A Philly Cheesesteak In Your Air Fryer
- Slice the meat as thinly as you can. In a bowl, toss the meat with Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper; set aside.
- In a medium bowl, toss the onion and pepper slices with the oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Place the meat and vegetables in the air fryer basket.
- Set the air fryer to 400°F. and cook for 15 minutes, tossing once or twice until the meat and vegetables are cooked through.
- Remove the meat and vegetables, cover, and set aside.
- Spread the insides of the rolls with the butter. Place the rolls in the air fryer basket, top sides down, for 3 minutes or until lightly toasted. Remove the rolls from the basket and set them aside. You can choose to skip this step.
- Divide the meat and vegetables between the two rolls. Top with peppers and onion. Top each with a slice of cheese. Heat for 2 minutes or until the cheese melts. Serve immediately.
What Is The Best Cheese for Philly Cheese Steaks?
I’m not one to tell you how to live your life. Especially when it comes to cheese. It’s all pretty delicious, in my opinion. But if you’re a traditionalist, you’ll probably want to use white American or provolone cheese.
But if you want to whip out the Cheez Whiz, I’m here for that too. Just keep in mind that it’s already melty, so skip the melting step and add room-temperature cheese to the warm meat for the perfect result.
What Is the Secret To A Philly Cheesesteak?
- If you have trouble slicing the meat thinly, you may choose to freeze the meat for 30 minutes. Me, I’m usually in too much of a hurry to do that. If you have a meat slicer, that will do the trick. ( Click here to watch my review of the Chef’s Choice Meat Slicer )
- If not, ensuring your knife is kept sharpened will help with the thin slicing without having to use any freezing or special methods.
- I like to use ribeye steak for this Philly Cheesesteak recipe . However, if need be, you can use flank steak, or another steak you have on hand.
- Just remember, the flavor may not be the same. Each cut of steak has varying qualities, so be sure that you’re aware of the differences and are okay with the variances in the cut. It has the potential to change the consistency and flavor of the recipe.
- For a low carb option simply omit the hoagie rolls. The Meat, cheese, and veggies are deliciously keto, and a serving clocks in at 4 gms of carbs!

What Goes With Philly Cheesesteak?
They’re often served with the standard sandwich sides, such as fries, chips, and such. Basically, if you’d serve it with a hot sandwich or a burger, it would go well with a Philly Cheesesteak .
- You can make this into a complete meal by adding these delicious Rosemary Roasted Potatoes or Air Fryer Green Beans into the mix. They’re both delightful side dishes you can make in just 15 minutes in your air fryer!

With this Keto Meatloaf recipe, those of us living a low carb lifestyle don’t have to miss out on meatloaf anymore! Enjoy this comfort food classic with no remorse–and no crushed pork rinds!

What Makes This Keto Meatloaf So Good?
- Easy. This is a simple pour and cook recipe . Mix the ingredients, bake, glaze, and enjoy.
- Low Carb . Only 6 grams of net carbs per serving.
- Fast. Minus the prep, this recipe is ready to eat in less than 30 minutes .
- Comfort Food. Is it luxurious? Nope. But it’s one of those recipes you’ll reach for again and again because of how incredibly satisfying it is.
Many of us like meatloaf but won’t admit this widely. I have no shame about loving meatloaf at all—I just can’t use breadcrumbs in mine.
I also can’t make a sugar-laden ketchup glaze for the top since I prefer to keep things low carb. We all know that meatloaf without a meatloaf topping isn’t quite making the grade.
In this recipe, I ask you to use a little tomato paste (not ketchup) for both the meatloaf sauce and the keto meatloaf . Not only does this taste good, but it keeps you from wasting most of a can of perfectly good tomato paste.
I didn’t use a loaf pan . I don’t know about you, but I hate scrubbing a loaf pan after baking things. Fewer dishes, more time for eating.
What Can I Use In Keto Meatloaf Instead Of Breadcrumbs?
I opted to use almond flour in this recipe, and the final product comes out as a fantastic gluten-free meatloaf. It’s every bit as good as a non-keto meatloaf, and maybe even a little bit better, but I might be a little bit biased.
Can You Use Pork Rinds Instead Of Bread Crumbs In Low Carb Meatloaf?
Yes, but…
This isn’t another one of those keto recipes that uses pork rinds instead of regular flour. Thank goodness it’s not one of those. If you’ve been on a keto or low carb diet for any period of time, I’m sure you’re tired of seeing pork rinds in everything.
Ingredients You’ll Need To Make Keto Meatloaf
For The Meatloaf
- Lean Ground Beef
- Eggs
- Superfine Almond Flour
- Half and Half
- omato Paste
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Powder
- Kosher Salt
- Ground Black Pepper
For The Glaze

How To Make Keto Meatloaf
- Preheat oven to 350F
- In a large bowl , mix together ground beef, egg, almond flour, half and half, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. You will get a loose mixture.
- Form into four individual mini meatloaves. Place a grill rack on to a sheet pan or in a square baking dish (Skip the loaf pan for this recipe). Place the meatloaves on top of this so that the grease can drip down into the baking sheet. If you don’t have fancy contraptions like grill racks that fit into baking pans, don’t worry about it.
- Bake at 350F for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, make the glaze: Mix together tomato paste, water, Stevia, and Dijon mustard and set aside.
- Remove the meatloaves from the oven and turn on the broiler. Move the oven rack about 6 inches away from the broiling element.
- Cover the tops of the meatloaves with the glaze. Broil for 5-6 minutes and check temperature for meatloaf doneness by using a thermometer inserted into the meatloaves. I should register at least 145F for the internal temperature. The glaze should be browned a little. Serve hot.
Tips And Tricks For Making This Low Carb Meatloaf Recipe
- You can double this recipe as easily as you can halve it.
- You could also scoop the low carb meatloaf mixture into muffin tins and bake them as keto meatloaf muffins . In this case, you will likely only need to cook them for 15 minutes or so.
- I decided to make this keto friendly meatloaf recipe in the form of patties instead of a traditional loaf in order to make the recipe faster. While there’s something quite elegant about a whole meatloaf cooked in a loaf pan, there’s something quite efficient about four individual meatloaves that not only cook faster but also are a good serving size.
- Wrap this low carb meatloaf with strips of bacon and secure in place with toothpicks before baking to make bacon wrapped keto meatloaf .
- As with any meatloaf recipe , try not to overwork the meat as it tends to make the meatloaves a little dry.
- Some people like to sneak veggies into their meatloaf. I like to do that as well on a keto diet. You can use shredded vegetables, but it’s possible that depending on the moisture content in the vegetables you may need to add more almond flour to your meatloaf.
- You can also make these with ground turkey for Keto Turkey Meatloaf . Take note that nutrition information will not stay the same.
- If you simply can’t be bothered to make your own glaze, you can also use sugar free ketchup as long as you pick one that still fits into your macros.
- Serve with loaded cauliflower for a complete low carb meal.
How Long Does Low Carb Meatloaf Last?
If you’re cooking for a small family or just like to meal prep to save time, you may be wondering how long this Keto Meatloaf is safe to store in the refrigerator.
Once the meatloaf is cooked, you can store it for up to 3 days in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
How To Reheat This Keto Meatloaf Recipe
As tempting as it is to pop your leftovers in the microwave to get instant gratification, I would recommend a different method. The microwave has a tendency to dry out the keto meatloaf and make it tough.
Instead, I would suggest placing it back on a baking sheet and warming for ~10 minutes at 250F in your oven.
